WBO say Pacquiao should have won controversial Bradley bout

Set to go again: Bradley and Pacquiao should face each other in a re-match
The World Boxing Organisation (WBO) have called for a re-match between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley after declaring that the Filipino should have won the fight. The Filipino lost his titles on a controversial split decision to the American in Las Vegas earlier this month. The WBO met with five international judges to evaluate video of the match and they unanimously scored the fight in favour of Pacquiao, though they do not have power to overturn the initial ruling and the result will still stand.Bradley emerged victorious with two judges awarding him the fight 115-113 and a third scoring 115-113 for Pacquiao, despite widespread opinion that the Filipino was a clear winner. Pacquiao has indicated that he would prefer a rematch over Bradley forfeiting the belt, according to Bob Arum, the promoter for both fighters. There is a re-match clause in the contract and the two fighters could be set to go head-to-head in the ring later this year.Bradley held the WBO's light-welterweight belt before moving up in weight to take the organisation's welterweight belt from Pacquiao, a result that could scupper hopes of a Pacquiao super-fight against Floyd Mayweather.
