Bobby Brown Is Married

It was a bittersweet day for singer Bobby Brown as he married his partner Alicia in a traditional Hawaiian ceremony in Honolulu.Daughter Bobbi-Kristina Brown, 19, snubbed the event which came months after her mother Whitney Houston's tragic death casting a shadow over the day.Brown, 43, married manager Alicia Etheredge yesterday in front of family and close friends in Hawaii less than 24 hours after he performed at a New Edition concert in Honolulu.The pair's three-year-old son Cassius acted as a ring bearer and he and his dad wore matching red suits and Adidas trainers.Bobby's older children Landon, 23, La'Princia, 22, and Bobby Jr., 19, were all in attendance but 19-year-old Bobbi - his daughter with late ex-wife Whitney Houston - was a no show.Brown and Etheredge have a young son together and became engaged on stage in 2010 - three years after Brown's acrimonious divorce from I Will Always Love You singer Houston.He has five children in total, one with Houston, three from previous relationships, and a son with Etheredge.The wedding comes just four months after the death of his former wife Whitney Houston, which may go some way to explaining Bobbi-Kristina's absence.Houston, 48, died of accidental drowning in a Beverly Hills hotel bathtub in February. White powder and drug paraphernalia were found in the bathroom where she died.Brown and Houston were married for 15 years, during which Houston developed a heavy addiction to cocaine, marijuana and crack. In an April TV interview, Brown hit back at suggestions that he got Houston hooked on drugs, or that he somehow played a role in her death. But his relationship with his daughter has been unstable for some years now.Alicia looked stunning in an elegant strapless  cream bridal dress and wore her hair down for her big day.Bobby's 19-year-old son Bobby Jr. posted a photo of his father with his son and the bride's flower girls on Instagram.Bobby and Alicia - who also acts as her new husband's manager - became engaged in May 2010 when the 43-year-old musician proposed during a New Edition concert in Jacksonville, Florida.The singer - who has overcome serious addiction - has previously credited Alicia with helping rediscover his zest for life and for helping to keep him sober and clean.He said: 'I got my passion back for music and for loving myself because of her ... At times when it gets really hard, she's right there, you know, to hold me and tell me, "Look at where you came from and look at where you are right now." I'm just so grateful to her.'Bobbi-Kristina was instead seen shooting scenes in New York for her reality show dubbed The Houston Family Chronicles for her upcoming Lifetime reality television show.The 19-year-old was seen out and about in the Big Apple filming for her show.With the cameras watching her every move she was joined by her late mother's manager, her aunt Patricia Houston, for a shopping trip on Manhattan's Fifth Avenue.The duo stopped at BCBG Max Azria and Lord & Taylor, before the youngster met up with her boyfriend Nick Gordon.Gordon, 22, was informally adopted by the late superstar when he was 12.She was then seen smoking a cigarette as the couple walked to a park hand-in-hand, all with a TV crew in tow for their upcoming family show.The controversial relationship between the 'brother and sister' was denied by both parts for a long time but after they were spotted kissing and holding hands in march this year the game was officially up.Nick Gordon was taken into the Houston household after a troubled upbringing, but the life with his 'adoptive mother' was not without problems.In 2011 he was charged with gun possession in Roswell, Georgia, after a night out with Bobbi Kristina.He was accused of trying to stop a fight between Bobbi Kristina and her ex-boyfriend by pulling a gun on him
