Michelle Obama, Dog Bo Welcome, Sniff White House Christmas Tree

Smells like Christmas spirit!
First Lady Michelle Obama -- with an assist from the first dog Bo and her daughters Malia, 14, and Sasha, 11 -- kickstarted the holiday season on Friday Nov. 23 outside the White House. Mrs. Obama, 48, was on hand to greet the arrival of this year's Christmas tree, which will be erected and decorated in the Blue Room of the White House.
Arriving via horse-drawn carriage, this year's tree is a 19-foot Fraser fir from Peak Farms in Jefferson, NC. The First Lady and Bo (a portuguese water dog) couldn't resist sniffing the freshly-cut tree, grown by 2012 National Christmas Tree Association grand champion winners Rusty and Beau Estes.

The First Lady's review? It's "perfect."
As Bo settles in for four more years in the White House, he'll have plenty of freedom in the historic resident; re-elected President Barack Obama recently told Us Weekly, "At my direction, Bo has free rein in the West Wing."
Added the First Lady: "Sometimes I let . . . Bo sleep in our bed when Barack is gone."
