Olympic Gold medalists Serena Williams and sister Venus Williams are to visit Nigeria as a part of a planned African tour. The multiple time Grand Slam winners will visit Lagos on October 30.
The most famous siblings ever to embrace the sport of tennis will be in Lagos trying to mentor, motivate and inspire a generation of young Nigerians. The two will also play a match, which will be their first in Africa.
Programme coordinator Tunji Adeyinka said Venus and Serena’s story of passion, determination, hard work and self-belief serve to boost the morale of athletes and business people alike.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Lagos Tennis Club in Onikan from October 30th to November 2nd.
The three day event will end on 2nd of November and will take place at the Lagos Tennis Club.
Serena has had a brilliant year, having won Wimbledon and the Olympic gold to add to that title at Flushing Meadows
