Jessica Simpson's old man, Joe Simpson, has been on the outer with his family since October, when he was accused of cheating on his wife with a man. Joe finally convinced Jess to meet up with him recently, but it backfired and resulted in a very tense and public clash.
Jessica, hiding her fairly obvious pregnancy under baggy clothes and an oversized handbag, sat down with dear old dad at an LA coffee shop.
Joe reportedly lured Jess with the offer of TV work but the polite conversation quickly dissolved, a source close to the pair told Radar Online.
"She told Joe that she didn't want to do anything TV-related and wanted to concentrate on her fashion line instead," the source said.
"As far as Jessica's concerned, she is done with her father and doesn't want to see him again." As the discussion became heated, Jess accused Joe of manipulating her younger sister, pop star Ashlee Simpson, before cutting lunch short and taking off.
Joe Simpson reportedly had an affair with a 21-year-old male model. Joe's wife Tina found out, naturally, because these things rarely stay secret. It also doesn't help that Joe allegedly kept modelling shots of the guy lying around the house. Hmmm.
