R. Kelly says he doesn't want to feud with fellow R&B singer Brian McKnight over comments made earlier in the year, saying he wants to leave the beef to the rappers.
'Back At One' singer Brian shocked fans in April when he released an x-rated track titled 'Ready To Learn', in which he graphically detailed what he does in the bedroom.
After receiving backlash for the filthy song, Brian wrote on Twitter: "Or maybe have sex with a 14-year-old girl an film it that’s acceptable these days," presumably in reference to R. Kelly's infamous sex tape in which he had sex with a minor.
However, R. Kelly says he doesn't want to engage in a feud with Brian as he believes R&B should stay clean.
"You don’t want R&B to get into beef. Leave that to the rappers," Kelly is quoted by EurWeb as saying.
"Let them do that. Let R&B be classy. That’s for the ladies, and having the babies and having fun."
Perhaps Kelly is drawing experience from his long-running feud with Jay-Z, whom he took to court after their Best of Both Worlds tour and album.
Sounds like Kells has grown more wise with age!
