Jazz star Kenny G officially files for divorce from his wife of 20 years

His wife filed for legal separation in January.
However, it was Kenny G who actually filed for divorce from Lyndie Benson-Gorelick last Thursday citing the celebrity favourite - irreconcilable differences - after two sons and 20 years of marriage.
According to TMZ, the 56-year-old musician does in fact have a prenup which he's probably hoping will protect his considerable assets, including $50 million.
The Grammy winner is only asking the court for joint legal and physical custody of the couple's 13-year-old son Noah because their other son Max is 17.
On the plus side, the saxophonist's album Namaste is currently number one on the smooth jazz top 20.
Aside from being the biggest-selling instrumental musician of the modern era, Kenny was also an early investor in the Starbucks coffee house chain.
The Malibu resident, who's just as famous for his long curly locks as his smooth jazz, is also an avid golfer and aircraft pilot who owns a De Havilland Beaver seaplane.
He's also listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for playing the longest note ever recorded on a saxophone - 45 minutes and 47 seconds.
Kenny G has worked with a host of musicians including Whitney Houston, Frank Sinatra, Andrea Bocelli, and, more recently, he appeared in the music video for Katy Perry's hit single Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).
