Arsene Wenger has vowed to pull out all the stops in a bid to tie star striker Robin van Persie to Arsenal for the rest of his career. The 28-year-old has one year left on his deal at the Emirates Stadium and has yet to agree to extend his stay in North London.Moneybags Manchester City are reported to be keen on luring him away with an eye-watering £200,000-per-week in wages for the player and there has been interest from the continent as well with Italian champions Juventus tracking the hitman. But Wenger remains hopeful that the Dutchman, who hit 37 goals in all competitions last season, will repay the loyalty that he has shown in him by agreeing to stay at the club."We want to keep Robin van Persie at all costs," Wenger wrote in his blog for Eurosport. "Because we depend on him offensively."I have always supported him even in the hardest times, and I hope he will end his career at Arsenal."The summer signings of both Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski would soften the blow should he leave as they are strikers of proven ability.Podolski joins the club fresh from helping Germany to the semi-finals of Euro 2012 while Giroud, who did not enjoy the best of tournaments with France, has just had a domestic season which was nothing short of spectacular. The 25-year-old scored 21 goals in 36 league appearances as Montpellier claimed their first Ligue 1 title and Wenger is expecting him to make a huge impact on the Premier League."I have known Olivier Giroud for some time," he added. "The first time I saw him, I found he had something intelligent and dangerous. I always said he could score goals and assist his partners."Our game is based on co-operation between the players in the offensive phase and he will integrate easily."I don't like simple goalscorers, they must also add to the collective. He is good in the air which is rare. He is quite complete and has a great room for improvement."
