Delhi Rape Suspect's Arm Broken In Jail

A lawyer for men accused of raping and killing a young woman on a bus in India's capital says one of the defendants was beaten so badly in jail that his arm was fractured.
A P Singh said on Friday that the four defendants complained to the court on Thursday about being routinely beaten by fellow inmates and guards at Tihar Jail in Delhi.
Singh said that instead of being given more security, defendant Vinay Sharma was beaten so badly overnight that his arm was broken.
Singh called on authorities to shift the men to another jail to ensure their safety.
The four men are charged with rape and murder in the brutal attack in a moving bus in December.
A fifth defendant was found dead in his jail cell last month.
