An Osogbo High Court, headed by Justice Oyejide Falola, has sentenced
31-year-old Kelvin Ighodalo, to 45-year imprisonment For stealing a N50,000 Sony Ericsson phone belonging to Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
The phone was stolen by Ighodalo on November 27, 2010, from Governor Rauf Aregbesola's pocket when he was being inaugurated at Government Technical College, Osogbo.
Kelvin Ighodalo was found guilty on six counts, which included conspiracy, stealing and fraud, which carried 10 years imprisonment for the first three counts and the others carried 5 years imprisonment each.
Mr. Ameachi Ngwu, Counsel to Ighodalo, prayed the court to commit him to community service, rather than being incarcerated so the public can see him as a convict.
