Palestinians clashed with Israeli soldiers in a number of incidents in the West Bank on Thursday.
Near the settlements of Yitzhar and Itamar in Samaria, dozens of Palestinians threw stones toward homes and at IDF soldiers, Ynet reported. The soldiers employed riot dispersal techniques against the demonstrators.
Stone-throwing Palestinians also engaged security forces near the outpost of Esh Kodesh, which has become a hot spot in the past few weeks.
Earlier this week settlers and Palestinians thew stones at each other after vineyards belonging to the outpost were attacked.
The settlers and local Palestinian farmers both claim the agricultural land as their own, and the sides have clashed over the issue several times.
Israel’s Supreme Court recently ruled that the Palestinians could plow the land. Outpost residents claim that they have cultivated the tract of land for 10 years.
Security forces reported an uptick in violence in the West Bank following November’s Pillar of Defense operation in Gaza.
